![]() ![]() Lyra is heading into the North at the end of the book. This went up to about 1/3 of the book is my guess. It's simply not the book, but it did a good job. It's good to have this story in this format, but I also think it could have been better. It's like an outline with characters similar to the book. It was at odds for me and that made it difficult to get into.Īs I said, this is a great way to have a quick reminder of the book, but in no way can this compare to the book. Also, Lyra from the book and how she played out in my head and how she was drawn and acted did not jive very well. I was excited to be back in this world of Lyra. A GN isn't the same as reading the story, but once you have read the story, it's a great way to experience the story again as a quick reminder. I love the story of the Golden Compass and it was one of my favorite book series so I was excited to have a graphic novel representation. ![]()
